I know I'm someone who loves to wear colors, but lately I just haven't been feelin' it as much and I've been sticking to neutrals colors and softer looks most days. This outfit it the perfect example.
This look consisted of this gorgeous art deco hijab from The Hijab Souq.
These Sports Dresses from DIR Fashion are amazing! They're sooo comfortable- perfect for those days when you want to wear sweats, but you know you need to put on real clothes to go out of the house.
I am in love with these Side Split Tops from Ahfif! I have other similar tops like this, but the ones from Ahfif are perfect for the cooler months. The fabric is slightly thicker so it keeps you warm. Also, these ones have a turtleneck, which means the are PERFECT for wearing with turbans!!!
So I was planning on getting this post up while the kids were asleep while I was on vacation, but that didn't happen. Before I left the weather was still warm and even hot some days, then I came back from Florida and it was cold here, apparently I missed the first freeze of the year.
This mosaic print hijab is from A Cup Of Dee It's no longer available (they sell out of prints extremely fast). The do however offer tons of beautiful prints and even though they are based out of Singapore, the shipping rates to the US are extremely low.
I was so excited when I woke up and it was cold enough to finally begin wearing my jackets and boots. The air was cold and crisp, and it felt like the perfect fall day, and then it got hot outside a couple hours later! Oh well, at least it's not as hot as it was a few months ago.
Anyways, this fall look includes some of my favorite fall colors, olive and brown. This olive hijab from The Hijab Souq is going to be one of my go to hijabs this fall, since olive matches most of my clothes.
So I know I have been craving fall weather, and now that its finally arriving I feel like I need to wear all my "summer" clothes before its too late and I have to wait until spring to wear them again. Is anyone else doing this?
This gorgeous maxi cardigan is from Louella by Ibtihaj Muhammad. Louella sells the cutest maxi cardigans, as well as maxi dresses, long sweaters, jumpsuits, and more.
They currently have mineral makeup (foundations, blushes, bronzers, etc.), lipsticks, cream lipsticks, scented lip balms, concealers, cream blushes, new eye liner pencils, and more.
One of my favorite styles is "dressy casual." This outfit is the perfect example of that. I paired a plain white t-shirt and some jeans with a blazer and some heels. It's amazing how much of a difference adding a pair of heels can make, even to a jeans and t-shirt outfit. This type of outfit is definitely one of my go to looks.
I'm so excited for the cooler weather! I know a lot of my outfits don't look like its fall, and that's because it hasn't felt like fall here, until recently. I have started pulling out my jackets and sweaters in preparation for the cooler days to come.
White is not just for Spring and Summer. I wear white (and pastels) year round. Who says you can only wear "Fall Colors" during fall? I definitely don't follow that advice.
For todays post, I wanted to share with you what came in my second Rocksbox. In case you are unfamiliar with Rocksbox, it is a jewelry subscription box where you can either wear the jewelry on loan or purchase (at a discounted price) the pieces you fall in love with.
One of my favorite pieces from the Striving For Modesty Fall Collection is this Maxi Shrug. It's the perfect item for this time of year. It can be worn with practically anything. Pair it with a maxi dress, a maxi skirt, or some jeans- the possibilities are endless.
Right now I currently have a giveaway running on Instagram. Winner will receive 2 scarves of their choice from The Hijab Souq as well as a jewelry item.

I'm thinking of starting a new section on my blog called "Weekend Wear" what do you guys think? My weekends are usually laid back and I typically wear casual clothing. This outfit is the perfect example of what I wear on the weekends.
I have been loving this pleated tunic from Vela recently, its the perfect color since it matches everything. You know those shirts that you wear over and over again? Well, this is definitely on repeat in my closet right now.
Instead of doing an outfit of the day post, I wanted to do something different and share a jewelry post with all of you.
Rocksbox is a jewelry subscription box, and each month you have the option to wear your jewelry on loan and return it once you want to swap out your set, OR if you fall in love with a piece you can purchase it at a discounted price.
The Hijab Souq in an online hijab shop that sells hijabs and accessories- they have the cutest statement necklaces! They are based in the US, New York to be exact, and they offer free shipping on all orders over $50 (to US and Canada). They also ship worldwide! They sell a wide range of scarves, everything from essential solids and prints, to more formal hijabs that are great for your formal occasions.
A couple months ago I posted a review of this Criss-Cross Tunic in mustard by Striving For Modesty, followed by a review of this White Zig Zag Shrug a few weeks ago.
Since both of these items are so versatile, I decided to do another blog post featuring these two items, but this time I paired them together!
This Houndstooth Maxi Cardigan from Kabayare Fashion is a great transition piece for this time of year. Houndstooth is such a classic print, and easily one of my all time favorites. These maxi cardigans are perfect to wear over jeans, skirts, or dresses- so practically everything, and they can be dressed up or down, which I love.
This Zig Zag Shrug from Striving For Modesty has become one of my essential pieces of clothing. I am someone who loves to layer (as most hijabis probably are). I have lots of clothes that are short sleeve or sleeveless and I am always looking for great cardigans, blazers, and jackets to wear over them.
I know many of you are gearing up for fall, which means losing the bright "summer colors" and opting for more traditional fall colors. Well, not me. At least not yet anyways.
I'm wearing the "Leila" Dress from Striving For Modesty. This dress is available in solid black, blue and black (which I'm wearing), and a beautiful rose and brown.
This dress has a gorgeous lace embroidery detailing around the sleeves, and the blue on this dress really makes the embroidery stand out. It is the perfect dress to wear for any formal occasion.
This Long Sleeve Crop Top Fringe Tunic from Vela has become one of my favorite tops recently. It has a white cotton tank top with fringe connected to it, plus it has the connected white crop top. The crop top is loose fitting so its perfect for these warmer months.
September has finally arrived! That means the weather will start cooling down a bit, yay! If you live somewhere with hot summers you probably feel the same way.

Super comfy and casual was what I went with on this day. A pair of white Birkenstock inspired sandals (my current faves), jeans, a layered dress top from Haute Hijab, and a Jamsine Maxi Hijab from Hijab-ista. AKA my everyday essentials.

Since its Ramadan I thought it would be a good time to write a blog post about my new favorite prayer garments from Tatuis. I have been using the one pictured frequently, especially during Ramadan.
Kaftans are one of my favorite articles of clothing for summertime (not to mention during Ramadan). This kaftan from MyBatua has recently become one of my favorites! It keeps you cool during hot days, and it doesn't cling to you at all.
After a long break I have finally started blogging again! We recently had the worst floods in state history, and it was raining every single day for weeks- with thunderstorms, hail, tornadoes, etc. I'm actually still getting use to seeing the sun out again.
Veilure Couture is an online hijab store based in California. They sell the cutest hijabs prints, as well as designer hijabs which include ruffles, spikes, pearls, flowers and more. Oh, and they just came out with their new Spring/Summer Collection!

This Adara army blazer is the perfect mix of modern and grunge. It has such a 90's feel to it, which I love. I have seen so many camouflage jackets, but I have never seen any that look like this. It's definitely unique.
ILoveModesty.com is a clothing and hijab store based in Canada. They offer a wide range of hijabs, underscarves, hijab accessories, essentials (sleeves, neck covers), clothing and more! They have countless colors of hijabs, as well as a variety fabrics including jersey, chiffon, and viscose.
So we have still been having a lot of this foggy weather recently. On this day it was chilly, but not too cold, so I decided to wear my cape. Can I just say how great this cape is? It's perfect for cooler days since its not too big, and you can just throw it over what your wearing.
We don't get many extremely cold days where I live, so I will wear my big jackets any chance it get. On this day we were told to expect snow and everyone was excited, (we haven't had any snow this winter).
I know this post is pretty late, but I have had a few people ask me about this top, so I figured I would put this post up anyways. So, this long gold fringe "necklace" is actually connected to a black shirt.
Right now I am hosting a giveaway for MonAmour Collection. It's a Pin It To Win It Contest on Pinterest. The winner will be announced February 28th, 2015 and they will receive this Gloryfull Hand Chain!
I know many of you have been wearing sweaters for several months now, but not me. It hasn't been cold enough until recently, (one of the downfalls of living somewhere that is hot most of the year). I love sweaters and boots, and pretty much all winter clothes, so I always get excited once it's actually cold enough to wear them out.
Who else has been having extremely foggy days where you live? Some days have been so bad I couldn't take any pictures outside (not to mention hardly being able to see down the road). Well, these pictures were taken one day after the fog was starting to lift (still pretty gloomy outside though).
Blazers have to be one of my all time favorite pieces of clothing. They are a layering necessity. I paired this one with the Demure Pleated Essential Top from Haute Hijab. They seriously have the best layering tops!!!
