Fall OOTD

These are the rest of my photos taken for the collaboration in the previous post. I love that the leaves are finally changing and its actually beginning to feel like fall here! No more hot days for a few months, which is exciting since it's hot most of the year here. Anyways, this is just a really simple outfit with a black, white, and gray combo.  I also added a few rings/midi rings and a wrap bracelet for my accessories (but you cant see them in the pictures). Hope you like it!

Outfit Collab

A few weeks back I worked on a collaboration with Haleema, (youtuber and creator of the button closed hijab), and fellow fashion blogger Fifi. We each recreated an outfit from an Instagram post and made it "Hijab Friendly." It was great getting to see how we each put our own spin on it!

Black and Pink OOTD

For this outfit I wanted to highlight the hijab, so I wore a sold black shirt and black shoes, (since it would make the light pink in the hijab stand out more). I wore a crystal hand chain to add a little extra detail, but that's it.

I found this shirt at Sam Moon by chance, and was really excited for it. It's a longer length, long sleeves, and can be worn alone or layered. Perfect. I am always looking for shirts like this!

D.I.R. Fashion "Striped Ball Gown Maxi Skirt" Review

This Striped Ball Gown Maxi Skirt from D.I.R. Fashion has quickly become one of my favorites; it matches practically everything! I love how the back has a hidden elastic waist, yet the front doesn't. This makes it sooo much easier to ensure fit when ordering online, but it still has a clean look to it. It also has 2 pockets in the front, which is an added bonus. The length is pretty long (which is great for all you tall girls). If your not tall, it can easily be hemmed, so I don't consider that to be a problem. The quality is good and I like the material. I do recommend wearing a slip underneath, but that's probably just me being paranoid. It doesn't appear to be see thru, and the material isn't extremely thin or clingy, its just better to be cautious. They plan on restocking the sizes of this skirt soon, I'A, so make sure to follow them on social media to find out when it's restocked!

D.I.R. Fashion (stands for diamond in the rough) was created in order to help sisters find modest, classy, and fashionable clothing at reasonable prices. They wanted to create a site where you could shop for modest clothing, since local stores only had a limited variety of suitable modest clothes. The best part- 10% of all profits will be donated to charity! Make sure to check out the website dirfashion.com for beautiful maxi skirts, dresses, tops, hijabs, and more!

Earth Tones

For this outfit I was inspired by the colors of fall. I kept everything Earth toned, which isn't too common for me (I like colors). I found this vest in my closet and decided I would wear it with this outfit for some extra detail.

I have received so many compliments on this skirt, and I got it at.......Costco. Yes, Costco! Why not get some clothing while your getting your industrial size bag of granola and whatever other bulk food you buy.

Pumpkin Roll

This cake is one of my absolute favorite treats for this time of year. The cream cheese frosting is delicious! I love that it's so simple to make, yet it looks really difficult.

For the Cake:
3/4 C. Pioneer Buttermilk Baking Mix
3 Eggs
1 C. Sugar
2/3 C. Canned Pumpkin
1 C. Chopped Pecans (optional)
2 tsp. Cinnamon
1 tsp. Pumpkin Pie Spice
1/2 tsp. Nutmeg

For the Filling:
Beat together-
1 C. Powdered Sugar
8 oz. Softened Cream Cheese
6 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. Vanilla
 Beat until smooth.

1. Heat the oven to 375°F. Grease a 15x10x1 jelly roll pan. (if you don't have this you could use a cookie sheet with edges). Line the pan with greased wax paper.
2. Beat eggs and sugar until fluffy. Beat in the pumpkin. Stir in the dry ingredients.
3. Pour the batter into the pan, spreading evenly. Sprinkle with the pecans. Bake for 13-15 minutes.
4. Invert onto a clean kitchen towel dusted with powdered sugar. Peel off the wax paper. Roll up cake and towel together from the short side. Place seam side down on a wire rack.
5. COOL COMPLETELY
6. Unroll the cake and spread the filling evenly onto the cake. Re-roll the cake. Refridgerate until it is ready to serve. Place on a oblong platter and dust with powdered sugar. Slice with a sharp knife.

Euphoria "Maxi Polka Dot Skirt" Review

Ineuphoria.com sells a variety of scarves, kimonos, maxi skirts and maxi dresses; all of which are made in New York. The prices are great and so is the quality. Make sure to check out the website.

This Polka Dot Maxi Skirt from Euphoria is a mix or classic and modern. The polka dot pattern is so elegant and beautiful; it's one of my favorite patterns right now. This high waisted skirt has back hook closures and pockets in the front. My favorite part is the pleating in the front that adds extra character to the skirt. From the front it almost looks like palazzo pants due to the pleating. The navy background features beige polka dots (they aren't white), which matched my cardigan perfectly.

I wanted to keep the look simple so I paired the skirt with a neutral color. I wore my Ahfif waterfall cardigan and wrapped it as my hijab, so it was both my cardigan and my hijab. I then secured it to my undercap with some hijab pins.
