DIY Pom Pom Sandals

Here's a quick and easy way to make your own pair of pom pom sandals. No need to spend hundreds on these on-trend sandals when you can make your own for a fraction of the price! Also, if you create them this way you can easily remove all the charms and pom poms later- no glue required!

What You Need:

A pair of lace up sandals
Small Nose Pliers
6mm Jump Rings
Pom Poms or Pom Pom Trim
Thread (unless you have pom pom trim)
Charms, Feathers, Tassels, Shells, Ribbons, or anything else you want to add

Note: I wasn't able to find any pom pom trim so I had to thread the jump rings onto each pom pom, which was easy, but took some time. If you can find the pom pom trim I would recommend going that route!

Start by threading each pom pom and adding a jump ring. Add a second jump ring to each charm (this will work better when attaching them to the sandals).

Once you have attached the jump rings to each pom pom and added an extra jump ring to each charm its time to lay out your sandals and begin planning where you want each item to be placed. Naturally I had to make each of my sandals have the exact same pattern but in no way is that a requirement.

Once you know where you want each charm and pom pom to go, begin placing them on the sandals using the pliers. Once you have them all on and are happy with how they look, go back and clamp each jump ring firmly onto the sandals so they cant slide around or fall off. This will make things way easier when putting them on and wearing them, since you wont be needing to make and adjustments and the charms and pom poms wont be sliding around.

That's it!
